Mike is licensed as a professional counselor and clinical social worker. He has been a practicing mental health professional and trainer in St. Louis since 1979.
He has degrees in psychology and counseling from the University of Missouri and a certificate in Family and Marital Therapy from Washington University. He also received advanced training in addictions treatment from the Edgewood Program of St. Louis and the Hazelden Foundation in Center City, MN.
In addition to private practice work, Mike has supervised staff development and training for one of the Midwest’s premier addiction treatment programs, served as executive director for two church-based Christian counseling centers and has also been an adjunct professor and employee assistance consultant.
Mike is a charter member of the American Association for Christian Counselors and serves on the advisory board of Metro Christian Ministries. He has also served on the Extension Council of the University of Missouri and on the board of West County Christian Home Educators.
Cindy M Roam RN, MS, CIT

Cindy Roam is an Associate Christian Counselor under the direct supervision of Michael J. Miller, MEd, LPC,
LCSW, director of Christian Family Guidance Center. Ms. Roam is also a Professional Registered Nurse with 24 years of clinical experience in health
care including work with Bridgeway Behavioral Health, and as a clinical nurse educator for SSM St. Joseph's Hospital West. She has a passion for teaching, training and helping others to overcome psychological, vocational, and social barriers to happiness. Ms. Roam integrates her skills in education and healthcare to help families and individuals overcome personal issues and work toward positive insight and change.
Her formal education includes degrees in Nursing, Psychology and Counseling. Most recently, Ms. Roam graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a Master's degree in Counselor Education. She has worked with women struggling with addictions, sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as educational health groups utilizing the integrated dual diagnosis treatment model. Other clinical experiences include treatment of anxiety, depression, grief
loss, psychological and spiritual problems. Ms. Roam performed her clinical residency at the Meier Clinic and Bridgeway Counseling Services specializing in individual counseling, crisis intervention and assessment, adolescents, group therapy and relationship, parenting and life skills.
Ms. Roam is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Counseling Association of Missouri and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Cindy is a dedicated Christian professional who is genuine, compassionate and committed to her clients. She and her family reside in Wildwood, Mo.
